Abstract
This research reflects on and analyzes the curricular adjustments that teachers of the area of Language of the IED Ricardo González of the municipality of Subachoque, carried out to strengthen the writing skill in sixth grade students, during the time of pandemic. To achieve this, it is intended to demonstrate what are the curriculum and writing approaches that teachers manage in their discourse and their coherence with the activities proposed for students during the contingency by COVID-19. This qualitative research uses the semi-structured interview and the documentary analysis of the guides prepared by the teachers and their curriculum as tools for collecting information. Subsequently, a triangulation is performed that seeks to find the convergences and divergences between the theoretical references, interviews and writing activities proposed in the guides that were carried out during this period of academic abnormality. The results of this research show that, while language teachers are overcoming the mechanistic view of writing, there is still a strong dependence on the technical curriculum and it is suggested that it be articulated with the critical perspective to see writing as a political act.
