Abstract
This article summarizes the work of pedagogical and didactic practice II at the Maria Montessori District Superior Normal School (ENSMM) implementing the ctsa approach (Science, Technology, Society and Environment) to relate the content “functional groups” of organic chemistry with the school garden A proposal was designed from the ctsa approach to analyze what is the active principle of medicinal plants grown in the school garden and compare it with the medicines produced by the industry to relieve pain, with the aim of addressing organic chemistry contents from real situations for the student; Among the most relevant results, it is observed that students recognize the school garden as a study center and that when using a ctsa approach in the didactic proposal, it relates the contents of organic chemistry with the analysis of the medicinal plants of the school garden, where activities allow awareness of the use of medicines and the possibility of using natural medicinesThis article summarizes the work of pedagogical and didactic practice II at the Maria Montessori District Superior Normal School (ENSMM) implementing the CTSAapproach (Science, Technology, Society and Environment) to relate the content“functional groups” of organic chemistry with the school garden A proposal was designed from the CTSA approach to analyze what is the active principle of medicinal plants grown inthe school garden and compare it with the medicines produced by the industry to relieve pain, with the aim of addressing organic chemistry contents from real situations for the student; Among the most relevant results, it isobserved that students recognize the school garden as a study center and that when using a CTSA approach in the didactic proposal, it relates the contents of organic chemistry withthe analysis of the medicinal plants of the school garden, where activities allow awareness of the use of medicines and the possibility of using natural medicines.
