Abstract
This action-research project aimed to analyze how dramatic and theatre games promote the oral production (OP) of FLE among beginners of the language at IPN. Observations and documentary reviews have led us to the creation of an innovative educational proposal that connects theatre games and OP ; this, of course, involves segmental construction, suprasegmental construction, and body consciousness, as well as elements that they detach: confidence and motivation, added to overcome fear and shyness. In this way we seek, firstly, to characterize the promotion and encouragement of OP and secondly, to analyze the relationship between dramatic games and the motivation of children to learn the language, through inductive analysis and triangulation of information. Finally, we found that in some cases there was a significant improvement in encouraging oral production in the proposed areas. There was also encouragement to overcome shyness in both foreign and native languages, and an improvement in group work. In addition, a closer relationship with the language and a motivation to learn it, at least when the games took place. However, some of the elements mentioned above were not fully developed during the mobilization process.
