Abstract
This degree work arises within the framework of the Semillero de Investigación en Educación
Statistics [SIEdEst] of the National Pedagogical University [UPN], based on the concern
about what are the investigative competencies developed by a member of said
hotbed. Thus, the inquiry focuses on recognizing the investigative competencies that have
developed students and graduates of the Department of Mathematics [DMA-UPN] to
participate in the SIEdEst at some point during its formation. To identify these
competences, a list of indicators is proposed and two instruments are adapted, forms
obtained from the investigations of Cifuentes (2017) and Aragón (2020). These instruments are
implemented under the rubric and survey techniques, the first is used for a review
documentary, and the second directed to members of the SIEdEst. The results of this inquiry
allow the member of the SIEdEst to recognize what type of investigative competences he develops
when carrying out certain tasks in the Seedbed and at SIEdEst to plan activities in favor of promoting
investigative powers that are pending to be address
