Abstract
The article refers to the challenge that the Childhood Education Program of the Pedagogic National University, undertook in designing special settings in which desks, boards, markers, chalk, pencil, books and even audiovisual media are not enough to support the educational processes of its students. The text begins by presenting how the concept ‘Enriched Spaces’ came into being as a possible answer. Then, through the testimony of different groups of teachers who have taken part in these spaces, the process is depicted. Finally, the text moves into the description of one of the experiences: the space ‘Play and Psychomotricity’, which is noteworthy in that it was based on an almost 5 year research experience.
