dc.description	Entender el papel mediador del museo de ciencias en el aprendizaje de un contenido científico en la escuela, implica reflexionar sobre los aportes de la investigación a la pregunta sobre qué y cómo se aprende en ambientes educativos no-convencionales. Se ha demostrado que la mayoría de las personas pasan menos del 3% de sus vidas aprendiendo en la escuela, lo cual señala la importancia de conceptualizar en qué consisten y cómo tienen lugar la mayor parte de sus aprendizajes. Mientras se resuelve esa pregunta, se diserta en este bio-ensayo sobre la relación de complementariedad entre el museo y la escuela, en tanto ambas instituciones comparten la misma finalidad educativa, aunque se diferencien en los modos de alcanzarla. El museo de ciencias se incorpora a la clase como un mediador que facilita el aprendizaje de los alumnos, en el marco de una enseñanza que promueve la comprensión de los fenómenos del mundo mediante modelos, que entiende que el aprendizaje escolar se da por etapas, una de las cuales consiste en que el alumno tenga la oportunidad de estructurar los nuevos conocimientos y sintetizarlos en su propio modelo. Para ello, es necesario que el alumno hable, lea, escuche y escriba en clase de ciencias, en tanto el pensamiento se expresa en el lenguaje para dar cuenta de los hechos. Estas habilidades comunicativas surgen en la clase de ciencias como indicadores de la mediación que ejerce el museo y permiten comprender que ésta tiene lugar en al menos dos dimensiones: la museográfica y la didáctica.	spa
dc.description	Understanding the mediating role of science museum in learning scientific content in school, it involves reflecting on the contributions of research to the question of what and how people learn in non-conventional educational settings. It has been shown that most people spend less than 3% of their lives learning in school, which emphasizes the importance of conceptualizing what they are and how much of their learning take place. While that question is resolved, it speaks at this bioassay on the complementary relationship between the museum and the school, as both institutions share the same educational purpose, but differ in the ways of achieving it. The science museum joins the class as a mediator that facilitates student learning as part of an education that promotes understanding of the phenomena of the world through models, which means that school learning goes in stages, one of which is that students have opportunity to structure new knowledge and synthesize on its own model. For this it is necessary that students speak, read, listen and write in science class, while the thought is expressed in language to attest to the facts. These communication skills arise in science class as indicators of mediation exercised by the museum and allow us to understand that it takes place in at least two dimensions: museographic and didactics.	eng
