Abstract
The characterization of motor coordination at the age of 9-10 years is essential to know the incidence of motor development. Thus, the objective of the present research was to evaluate the level of motor coordination in 9 and 10 year old children belonging to sports training schools in Bogotá D.C. and Chía - Cundinamarca in a post confinement context by means of the 3JS test in relation to gender, sport, demographics, training days and whether they trained in confinement. The study included 307 infants, of which 187 were 2 female and 120 were male, they were also grouped by sport, soccer n:113, skating n:91, basketball n:52 and tennis n:51 and, finally, by demographics 102 were evaluated in ChiaCundinamarca and 205 in Bogota. The study is of quantitative approach, descriptivetransversal type and with a non-probabilistic sampling. The statistical treatment was carried out using the statistical software ® version 4.1.0. The results indicate that, significant differences were established in response to gender p=0.00 better in boys, demographics p=0.04 better in Bogotá, days of training p=0.006 better in ≤4 days of weekly training, training in confinement during COVID-19 p=0.02 better in those who trained and sport p=0.00 evidencing significant differences between them, having as reference soccer as the highest and tennis the lowest level correspondingly. These findings show that differences were found in motor coordination, mainly between locomotor coordination and object control coordination according to the variables of this study.
