Abstract
The present work consisted of carrying out a bacteriological analysis of the water for human consumption in the district of Berlin in the municipality of Samaná Caldas where it was sought to know the concentrations of total coliforms, Pseudomonas aureginosa and Escherichia coli, in the same way, as a complement In the laboratory analyzes, a socio-environmental inquiry took place on the uses, care and protection of water within this territory, in order to achieve the purpose of the investigation, which was to analyze the bacteriological characteristics of the water for human consumption in the district of Berlin in Samaná Caldas and its impact on the population. Taking into account the above, a sampling was carried out with three intake points distributed from the town aquedu, the middle area and the one where the service coverage ends, so it was obtained that when applying ISO membrane filtration techniques 9308- 2014 and from Standard Methods for the first point, the concentrations of total coliforms, Pseudomonas aureginosa and Escherichia coli were 0 CFU, due to the change in stream flow and heavy rain during sampling, while for points 2 and 3 were at 0 CFU for P aureginosa, between 66 and 68 CFU for E coli, while for total coliforms more than 2000 CFU remained, at the same time, the socio-environmental investigation showed that the care of the water is important for the inhabitants of Berlin , its responsible use and protection, in such a way that they also recognized the points of water pollution that affect the township and the activities that provide the highest pollutant load at the level bacterial.
